An easy to make accompaniment that tastes very delicious despite just 4 ingredients - Cucumber Raita is a wonderful raita that uplifts the taste of any Biryani | Pulav | Paratha that we have along with it!
Ingredients:
2 Cucumbers | Kheera | Kakdi
1 cup Dahi | Curd
1/4 tsp Jeera | Cumin Powder
1/4 tsp Rock Salt | Sendha Namak | Black Salt
To taste Salt
Method:
- Wash and peel the Cucumbers. Grate them and squeeze the water from the grated cucumbers. Keep aside.
- In a small bowl add the curd and beat it to make it smooth .
- Add the jeera powder, black salt and grated cucumbers and mix well.
- Add salt to taste, if required.
- Serve it with any Pulav | Biryani | Paratha.
Note:
1. You may even make a tempering of mustard | rai and curry leaves and add to this raita.
2. You can also add finely chopped green chillies and fresh dhania | coriander leaves to this to add a different taste.
