Idli | Soft fluffy traditional SouthIndian Style

Finally, the MOON arrives on Appa's plate!!! Today Amma made Idlis the way Appa loves them the most - traditional Rice and Urad Dal one! Despite the winter, Amma's Homemade Idli | Dosa Batter had fermented well and the outcome - soft, white, tempting Idlis!

INGREDIENTS

Oil to grease Idli moulds

METHOD
  • Grease the idli plates with oil.
  • Pour Idli batter to the greased moulds and steam it for 15 minutes. In case using a pressure cooker, do not keep the whistle.
  • De-mould the idlis and serve with your choice of Podi | Chutney | Thogaiyal and Sambar.
The soft, fluffy Idli is so delicious. A healthy Snack | Breakfast | Tiffin option!
