Pop MAK | Indian Spices Makhana | Review

We love to try different products which have nutritional value and in our this adventure we came across Pop MAK range of products, a new launch at Bigbasket. Curious as to what this Makhana is as we have never tasted it, we got this flavour - Indian spices, roasted Makhana.

A bit of google search and we realised that Makhana is Lotus Seed also known as Fox Nut! This is supposed to have a host of nutritional benefits but we are not experts in that field so won't comment on the same! Many recipes can be prepared using Makhana like Kheer, Sabzi and Namkeen such as this Pop MAK, manufactured by STK Food Processing Pvt. Ltd. For more information you can check out their website : www.stkfoods.in

Regarding Pop MAK Indian spices, roasted Makhana - I love it! Amma Appa not that muxh fan of the garlic content in it (which surprisingly the packet states *Onion & Garlic free but in the ingredients lists Onion Powder and Garlic Powder!)

The taste is like any other Potato chips available in the market just that the Makhana's are roasted! A healthy substitute for potato wafer|chips.

At a price point of Rs.100/- for 100gms, I find this a bit expensive...

This has definetly inspired us to get Makhana and try recipes made from it. So do look out for the Makhana Express!

Till then..Eat Healthy...Stay Blessed...

Hi few days ago i also bought popmak from Godrej Natures Basket... i must admit its good value offering. Moreover * Onion & Garlic free* was only applicable to those flavours who are carrying similar star mark e.g -Black Salt,Upvaas,Chaat Masala e.t.c

Prices of unprocessed /Raw makhana is approx 800 to 1000 /- per kg so if we get roasted & flavoured makhana in the same price point then why not to consume the later.

In India MNCs are selling us potato weffers at 430 kg to 1000/- kg (lays ,Pringles) with all sort of marketing gimick so i prefer to consume this indigenous snack over others.
