How about making Masala Oats at home??? This tastes so delicious than the ready made ones available in the market. You can add the veggies of your choice too!
Very easy to make and a great way to start your mornings with this healthy breakfast! This is a must have atleast twice in a week as Breakfast | Supper at home and we just love this.
INGREDIENTS
4 tblsp Oats
1 tblsp Fresh Mattar | Peas
1 tblsp Gajar | Carrot, finely chopped
1 tblsp Cabbage, finely chopped
3/4 tsp Homemade Rasam Powder
1/4 tsp Haldi | Turmeric Powder
1/8 tsp Pav Bhaji Masala
To taste Salt

METHOD
- Measure 1 ltr water and keep aside.
- In a vessel add 1 cup water and chopped vegetables and keep on medium flame. Let the vegetables cook. Ensure they are not overcooked as the vegetables need to remain crisp.
- Add Salt, Homemade Rasam Powder, haldi and pav bhaji masala. Mix well.
- Add remaining water and mix well.
- Add oats and let this cook on a low flame, for 2 to 3 minutes. This will be of thick dropping consistency. You can add water | oats to suit the consistency that you prefer.
- Switch off the gas.
- Serve hot.
A wholesome nourishing breakfast full of flavour! This quantity is sufficient for three serves.
