Jowar with onions and garlic is an awesome combination! Since we got the freshest Spring Onions yesterday, Amma wanted to try these lovely Thalipeeths by adding the Spring Onions rather than normal Onions!
These tasted so delicious...just as is that I had them without any accompaniment! Appa and Amma have fallen in love with Jowar...infact the entire Millet family and Amma is now happily experimenting with varied Millets.
Today the entire theme for the day is Millets..so right from breakfast to Lunch it is going to be Mighty Millets all the way!

METHOD
- In a mixing bowl add all the ingredients except oil and mix well. This time we did not add any garlic.
- Incorporate water, little by little, while gently kneading at the same time to make a dough which is softer than the phulka roti dough. Make 11 portions of the dough.
- With a tissue paper | cloth, smear little oil on plastic sheet's surface.
- Place one portion of the dough and gently pat to make a circle of about 3" diameter. The thalipeeth should be approximately 1/2 cm thick.
- Place the roti tava on the gas and let the tava get hot. Once it is hot, reduce the flame to medium.
- Gently transfer the thalipeeth from the plastic sheet to the hot tava.
- After 2 minutes, flip the thalipeeth to the other side.
- After 2 minutes flip it to the first side and flip it again to the second side after 1 minute.
- Thalipeeth is cooked and has slight golden brown spots on its surface.
- Spring Onion Jowar Thalipeeth can be served with Curd | Pickles | Homemade Butter | Tomato Ketchup.
