Onion Tomato Sabzi - simple ingredients to make a wonderful side dish!

A simple sabzi which in the morning hustle bustle is very quick to make for tiffins! This Onion Tomato Sabzi has been my favourite sabzi since school days! The flavour is just awesome and best part this can be made within 15 minutes!

Amma made this sabzi today after quite some time....really nostalgic as many memories refreshed  - fond conversations while relishing this as Tiffin with dear friends | colleagues!

Onion Tomato Sabzi

INGREDIENTS

2 Onions, halved and sliced to form semi circle
4 Tomatoes, halved and sliced to form semi circle
2 Green Chillies, finely chopped
1/4 " Adrak | Ginger, finely chopped
1 tsp Haldi | Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Jeera | Cumin Seeds
4 Kadhi Patta | Curry Leaves
1 tsp Oil
To taste Salt
2 tblsp Fresh Dhania | Coriander Leaves, finely chopped

METHOD
  • In a kadhai, heat oil and add jeera and curry leaves.
  • When jeera crackles, add onion, haldi, adrak and green chillies, Saute till the onions become translucent.
  • Add tomatoes and salt. Mix well. Cook till tomatoes are done. They should be cooked but not mash,
  • Switch off the flame and garnish with chopped dhania.
  • Serve hot with Roti | Rice.
We relished this tasty Onion Tomato Sabzi with garma garam Phulka Rotis.
