Amma loves onions. I wonder why she does not prefer Garlic though! Anyway...this Onion Raita is her favourite. This is one flavourful Accompaniment that goes well with any Paratha | Rice | Biryani | Pulav.
We got wonderful onions which were sweet and spicy. These fresh onions really give a unique flavour to this Raita. Appa loves Onion Raita especially with Soya Chunk Biryani.
Very easy to make and simply delicious.
INGREDIENTS
2 Onion, small, finely diced
1 cup Dahi | Curd, whisked
1 tblsp Fresh Dhania | Coriander Leaves, finely chopped
1/4 tsp Jeera | Cumin Powder
A pinch Hing | Asafoetida Powder
1/4 tsp Sendha Namak | Black Salt
To taste Salt
METHOD
- In a mixing bowl, add curd, jeera powder, sendha namak and salt. Whisk well..
- Add onions and dhania leaves. Mix well.
- Serve as an accompaniment with Paratha, Rice | Khichadi, Biryani | Pulav.
