Channa Dal Sundal is made quite often at home. This is very easy to make, very delicious with added health quotient and can be easily given to children as a tasty snack...
Ingredients:
1 cup Channa Dal
1 Green Chilli, finely chopped
1/8 tsp Haldi | Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp Urad Dal
5 Kadhi Patta | Curry Leaves
1 tsp Oil
To taste Salt
1 cup Channa Dal
1 Green Chilli, finely chopped

1 tsp Fresh Coconut, grated
1/2 tsp Rai | Mustard Seeds1/2 tsp Urad Dal
5 Kadhi Patta | Curry Leaves
1 tsp Oil
To taste Salt
Method:
- Wash and soak the Channa Dal for 5 hours. Drain the soaked Channa Dal, add Haldi and pressure cook for 2 whistles. Once the pressure is released, remove the cooked Channa Dal and keep aside.
- In frying pan, heat the oil.
- Add the Rai, Urad dal and Curry Leaves. When the Rai splutters, add the cooked Channa Dal , chopped green chillies, grated coconut and salt. Mix well.
- Let it cook for about a minute and then switch off the gas.
- Serve as a tea time snack!
During Navrati, this can be made as naivedhyam for one of the nine days!
